The event kicked-off in high spirits 
with a Friday lunch run, which took place 

from the Nautical Resort down to Havasu 
Springs. With 80-degree weather and 

bright sunshine, this is where the partici- 
pants got that feeling that “it’s going to be 
a good weekend” as they cruised towards 

Havasu Springs during a “cruise/parade,” 
then enjoyed a meal fit for royalty.

The docks at Havasu Springs were load- 
ed with awesome performance as the play- 

ers mingled along the slips and checked 
out all the awesome hardware prior to 
lunch being served at the conference hall 

overlooking the water. Following lunch, 
the players then headed back up the lake 

to get ready for the Friday Night Welcome 
and Registration Party.
The party, which was held at Barrett Picking up Card 2 

Custom Marine, was a real buzz as the during the run.

among the crowds. The night’s festivities 
also included excellent music and a great 
dinner catered by Waldo’s BBQ, which 

served brisket, pulled pork and chicken.
On Saturday, which is considered 

the “meat and potatoes” of the event, 
began with a drivers meeting outlining 
the course, which consisted of running 

throughout the lake in search of a series of 
orange and white checkered flags where 

a bounty of cards were held. The hunt for 
the cards ran from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
and was followed by lunch at the Nautical 

Resort. Special holiday photos were also 
arranged that afternoon for participants in
