photo session, the players then handed
in their cards where the envelopes were
opened and hands recorded in preparation
to announce the winners that evening.
The Bash began at 7 p.m. with dinner
and while the meal was excellent, all eyes
circulated around the room observing and
enjoying all the creative costumes that
consisted of fast food icons, rock stars, TV
show personalities, naughty police women
and all sorts of monsters and villains.
Following dinner, the winners were
announced for the top three poker hands,

took the top spot, winning with a straight
flush. Second place went to Lane Barney
from Salina, UT, with another straight
flush while in third place was Kevin Ball of
Park Hill, MO with a full house. In fourth
was C. Brett Kenley from Layton, UT, with
a flush and the worst hand went to Carl
Richardson of Phoenix AZ (with a lot of
nothing).
After the winners were announced and
raffles were drawn, the live entertainment,
One Eyed Romeo, took the stage and got the
crowd to their feet, dancing the night away.
What the Monster Bash is really all about is
spending time with family and friends, enjoy-
ing common interests of “boating, family and
charity.” The poker run is not only for the per-
formance elite, but for boating families who
want to enjoy the thrill of participating in a
real poker run. It’s an affordable event with an
atmosphere surrounding family fun that will
leave you with memories for a life time. PRAFans of the hit TV series, the Walking Dead, we presume?
