AEM FORMS ALLIANCE WITH BOOSTPOWER USA

According to a recent release, Advanced Engine Management (AEM) of Hawthorne, CA, has announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with BoostPower USA to expand its product offerings in the marine market place to include marine-specific EFI solutions with its Infinity standalone programmable ECU platform.

AEM designs, manufactures and assembles various engine management systems, wideband air/fuel systems, water/methanol injection systems, performance gauges, boost controllers, ignition components, fuel delivery components and adjustable cam gears.

According to the company, the Infinity software for marine applications includes capabilities not commonly found in many popular dedicated marine EFI systems. Some of the impressive capabilities include boost control, electronic throttle control, multiple mapping (with map switching capability), flex-fuel blending, oil/coolant/fuel/lean/overboost, engine protection, user defined inputs and outputs, data logging up to 64GB and more.

Designed around a latest-generation 32 bit floating point 200MHz automotive processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS), the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second).
