CHECK OUT COVERAGE FROM THE MIKE FIORE MEMORIAL POKER RUN!

Mike Fiore Memorial Poker Run – July 31-Aug 1, 2015

The Mike Fiore Memorial Poker Run was held July 31 – August 1, with some of Mike’s best friends gathering for this very special tribute.

Trenton Marine, of Toms River NJ, opened their entire facility for the Poker Runs America weekend event. Johnny O’Loughlin, of Bay Gas Company, NY, and Pete Mazzo, of Berry Creek Catering, NJ, put in countless hours to make this event a very special tribute to Mike and his family.

Many dignitaries from the boating community attended, including Paul Fiore and his wife Diane, and Dan Kleitz, who worked alongside Mike for many years.

Pete Mazzo hosted a great dinner on Friday evening, and served up a spectacular driver’s breakfast on Saturday morning.

Many spectators and friends gathered at the marina throughout the weekend, where a cavalcade of muscle cars was on display, in addition to the poker run boats.

The Poker Run on Saturday was photographed by Tim Sharkey and filmed by videographer Dan Pickering, and culminated with a luncheon at the Golden Nugget, where Poker Runs America presented a very moving video documentary tribute to Mike Fiore, drawn from the archives of the magazine and the Poker Run video library.

More than 200 guests participated in the luncheon, arriving by boat and car; the Poker Runs video crew arrived by helicopter, landing on the roof of the Golden Nugget.

The focus of the weekend was to raise funds for Mike Fiore’s three children. Bill Beccaro, Attorney at Law, presented a fundraising program at the luncheon on Saturday, describing how participants and the boating community at large can donate to the Mike Fiore Children’s Educational Foundation, which will be administered through Mr. Beccaro’s law office.

To contribute to the foundation, please address cheques to:
