MERCURY INTRODUCES TWO NEW OUTBOARD PROPELLERS

Late in 2015, Mercury Racing (www.mercuryracing.com) unveiled two new versions of the stainless-steel Revolution 4 four-blade propellers. The Pro Finish Rev 4 XP provides precision when dialing in multi-engine, stepped bottom performance center consoles and single-engine bay boats. It’s a popular wheel for the Mercury Verado 350 and Mercury Racing Verado 400R out-boards. The XP model extends the pitch range of the Rev 4 series from 18” to 25.5” pitch sizes in half-inch increments. With so many pitch sizes available, boat owners can get maximum performance and efficiency out of their boats.

The new Pro Finish Rev 4 XC prop is designed specifically for single outboard powered hull and features what Mercury calls an “extreme” amount of blade cup. The Rev 4 XC comes in 15” and 17” pitch sizes to compliment the Bravo 1 XC, which comes in 20”, 22” and 24” pitch sizes. The enhanced cup lets the engine run a elevat-ed transom heights without sacrificing performance. This makes the propellers attractive for owners of flats boats who run in skinny water. The larger blade area allows the prop to stay hooked up for quick planing and enhanced performance through the powerband.
